Tai Chi Qigong with Yvonne

Practitioner & Qualified Session Leader

Your Teacher:  Yvonne Lovell

My practising of the ancient Chinese meditation in motion, Tai chi Qigong  translated as breath work, or energy work, helped me to find my “true authentic self,” to move forward in my life, after being stuck for many decades and so far removed from who I really am and was meant to be. “I must say its been great to wake up to find the real person I was meant to be that had lay beneath the many layers of conditioning, beliefs and opinions that were put on me.”

I am therefore very passionate about Qigong and what it brought me in terms of my spiritual, mental, emotional and physical journey.  I would love to now share this healing health art with you and invite you to come and attend a one hour session, where I will lead you through these wonderful relaxing movements.

Qigong combine slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises.

The routines were not designed to burn calories or raise your heart rate. Instead, they can help your circulation, balance, and alignment. They can also help restore your energy, called chi or qi (pronounced "chee").

The low-impact moving meditations include standing and balancing but can also be performed sitting down. Although they are excellent fitness activities for beginners and people with health conditions, elite athletes also benefit from doing the slow movements, because everyone needs better balance and muscle control.

The benefits of Qigong are known to include:

  • Greater overall fitness

  • Deeper Sleep

  • Reduced Stress

  • Stronger immune system

  • Improved mood

  • Improved Balance and coordination

  • Better focus

  • Energy and Vitality

  • Reduced blood pressure

  • Increased flexibility and muscle strength

  • Easy on your joints
