Your Teacher:  Georgina West

Georgina is a Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP) accredited yoga teacher, having completed her 200-hour teacher training at Whitespace Yoga Studio in Stony Stratford in March 2020.


As well as being a yoga teacher, Georgina is also a qualified Occupational Therapist, supporting people whose independence, quality of life and wellbeing has been affected by physical injury, illness and disease, neurological disorders and mental health conditions.  


Georgina says the following about her yoga offerings:

"My passion is to support people to find space and stillness within their everyday lives through the use of yoga, mindfulness and meditation techniques.

I love helping people explore what self-care and self-compassion means to them and how they can ensure that these practices take priority in their busy lives.


Yoga provides a safe space for people to breathe, slow down, unwind, feel and ‘drop in’ to their bodies. It also helps with building strength and tone in the muscles, improves flexibility in the joints, increases respiratory function and cardiovascular fitness, and improves energy and vitality.

I have a particular interest in how yoga and meditation assist with stress, fatigue, burnout and sleep. I consider yoga to play a key role in balancing a person’s autonomic nervous system, helping people to cope with life challenges easier, sleep well and generally feel happier and healthier."

Private yoga sessions are available to those recovering from physical injury, people with reduced mobility, people experiencing mental health symptoms or those who generally wish to improve their physical and mental well-being or develop their own yoga practice.

Bespoke, private yoga sessions are tailored to your interests and needs. Whether you are brand new to yoga, eager to take your practice to the next level, working with a physical injury or physical/mental health condition, or simply finding it difficult to get to or are feeling nervous about attending a group class, I will meet you where you are at in your yoga journey and help you move forward with your goals. 


When working with me privately you will also receive additional resources and guidance to support you to achieve your aims, such as home practice guidelines and videos.


Individual 1:1, 2:1 and small group yoga sessions are £45 per hour. There is a ‘Private Get Started’ package available for £150 (offering a 90-minute initial session, to discuss needs and goals and to get you started, followed by 3 x bespoke 60-minute sessions), with follow-on 5 session (£200) and 10 session (£350) packages, which provide savings on the individual session rate.
